                 Provincial Governor of the Province of Oriental Mindoro





                                                 “Ito ang gusto ko!”





          Oriental Mindoro’s dynamic and proactive young governor has been known to have a penchant for making history and paving new
        paths for others to follow, with a string of record firsts tucked neatly under his professional belt.

          Humerlito Atienza Dolor, popularly known in the province as “Bonz” (for bunso, as he’s the youngest of the four children of Tito
        Tony and Estrellita Dolor), began his political journey as SK Chairman of barangay Adrialuna in Naujan in 1992, which paved the
        way to three decades of distinguished public service. He was elected SK Provincial Federation President in 1996, thus becaming
        an Ex-Officio Member of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Oriental Mindoro.






















                                                                     At  24, he  became  the youngest  Board  Member  ever  to be
                                                                    elected in the province. And a day after he turned 30 in November
                                                                    2007, he was elected National Chairman of the Provincial Board
                                                                    Members League of the Philippines.

                                                                     In May 2010, at the age of 33, he made history when he
                                                                    became the youngest elected Vice Governor of Oriental
                                                                    Mindoro, then again in his second term bid in 2013, as the only
                                                                    Vice Governor of the province to run unopposed.

                                                                     The May 2016 elections made him the only Vice Governor
                                                                    of Oriental Mindoro to serve 3 straight terms—an undeniable
                                                                    testament to his commitment to good public service and his
                                                                    dedication to transformational leadership.


                                                                     In the 2019 midterm elections, he once again made local
                                                                    political history by posting a resounding landslide win as the
                                                                    province’s new Governor with a massive 95,695 vote margin
                                                                    over then 2nd district Congressman Rey Umali, brother of then
                                                                    Governor Alfonso Umali, Jr. His win is a convincing statement
                                                                    that Oriental Mindoreños are very much ready for true and
                                                                    meaningful change.
