• Construction – 5 Million Central Terminal to minimize urban
district congestion. Due to the decongestion program of the LGU,
more investors have been coming to Arayat. In fact, Jollibee, Seven-
Eleven Convenient Store, Star Wings and Cebuana Lhullier are only
some of the business institutions which are about to conduct full
blast operations in the municipality;

• Aide for 47 Scavenger Beneficiaries;

• Call Center Training for 30 Applicants;

environMenTal proTecTion and
naTural resources ManaGeMenT
• full rehabilitation of Mt. arayat national park (ongoing) –
More residents are able to get jobs, create livelihood projects and
businesses with the reopening of the Mt. Arayat National Park. This
reflects the policy of localism and showing a gradual improvement
of life standard.

• construction of drainage canal; desilting, sandbagging and
repair of dikes; desilting of creeks – It is important to build
drainage canal to drain water from an area having no natural outlet
for precipitation to avoid flood and waste water accumulation.
The Municipal Government monitors the smooth flow of water,
redirecting through sandbagging and sees to it that flood control
and safety measures by dike repairs is undergone efficiently. A new
Payloader was acquired in support of the projects.

• solid Waste Management and construction of Municipal
recovery facilities (ongoing) – The construction of the expansion
of MRF in each of the 30 barangays and the Central Recovery
Facilities remain a priority for the Municipal Government. Year-
round information educational campaign in all barangay is ongoing
to orient the residents on the provisions of the Ecological Solid
Waste Management Act 2000. To efficiently deliver the services, a
10-Wheeler Dump Truck was purchased.

• construction of barangay roads/rehabilitation of small
Water impounding project (sWip) – a water harvesting and storage
structure in Brgy. Baliti with earth embankment spillway, outlet
works and canal facilities designed for soil and water conservation
and flood control during rainy season.

• year-round Tree planting – More concerned citizens within
the municipality have been participating in the Tree Planting
Project in line with the restoration of Mt. Arayat forest within the
protected areas.
