MOST OUTSTANDING MAYOR AWARD 2021

“GO FOR GREENER BAROTAC VIEJO”
The municipality launched “Go for Greener Barotac Viejo”, a
five-year project that aims to conduct a series of activities to
counter various environmental issues due to deforestation,
environmental phenomena, and human neglect. Under Mayor
Bongbong’s leadership, the LGU and Alternative Learning
System of Barotac Viejo (the project proponents) coordinate
with various National Government Agencies, Civil Society
Organizations and People’s Organizations to ensure collective
participation to help realize this project.

FREE SURGICAL CONSULTATION
One of Mayor Bongbong’s main priorities in terms of public
service is the health and protection of the people. Thus, on
2019, he teamed up with physicians from St. Paul’s Hospital
Iloilo and organized free surgical consultations for those
needing them.

ROAD CLEARING AND SAFETy
Additionally, Mayor Bongbong took note of the concerns of
the people regarding traffic and ordered the mobilization and
employment of additional traffic enforcers in order to address
this issue. He also directed the removal of obstructions from the
roadways as well as the installation of new road signage and
markers to ease traffic and promote safety.

mONTHLy BLOODLETTING ACTIVITIES
Mayor Bongbong continues to urge the public to join monthly
bloodletting activities which have become more important
especially during this time of pandemic. He likewise calls upon the
participation of Barangay LGUs, National Government Agencies,
Civil Society Organizations and People’s Organizations in order
to make each activity successful.
