Bulacan is undisputedly one of the most progressive provinces in
the country. Through implementation of its Seven Point Development
Agenda, emphasis was given to projects of delivering basic social service
to the people, specifically in the fields of good governance, health,
education, nature and environment, livelihood, peace and order, history
and culture, which are integral components of sustainable development
of the province.
Under the able guidance of its Chief Executive, The Honorable
Governor Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado, Bulacan has achieved sustainable
socio-economic growth and pervasive development through meaningful
programs designed not only to promote the same as a premier province,
but more significantly to propagate the general welfare of its people.

THRIVING PROJECTS

Foremost on this roster of achievements is the “Kapitolyo sa
Barangay” project which was conceptualized by Gov. Sy-Alvarado to
expand social services for more effective social governance. This is one of
his priority projects aimed to make basic social service including medical,
dental and laboratory tests accessible to the grassroots level even to
the remotest barangay. To date, more than 295,000 Bulakenyos in 855
communities have derived multifarious benefits from the program.
