ADDRESSING THE COVID PANDEMIC
Pursuant to the Proclamation of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte
placing the entire Luzon ECQ the Hon. Mayor Rivera Issue EO No.
24 Series of 2020 declaring a total lockdown of the Municipality
and closed all entry points to prevent the virus from crossing to
this locality. It was followed by EO No. 42 Series of 2020 instituting
a modified lockdown at Purok 1 and 3 at Barangay Sta Rita due
to the outbreak of COVID-19 and ordered the prohibition of mass
gathering whether public or religious purposes.
To mitigate the impact of ECQ among the populace including
the clause of business establishments including the Public Market
and Drugstores considered essentials were the survival of the
citizens, relief goods were distributed to 23 barangays consisting
of rice, basic commodities including medicines and vitamins
worth P 34,200,913.00.
