On top of this, he also headed several projects to help
mitigate the effects of the crisis brought by COVID-19;
his passion for public service extended to those who
are unable to communicate their needs to the local
government, including the marginalized sector and persons
with disabilities (PWDs) who have little to no access to
technology or those who are unable to seek help in person.
He personally delivered food packs to quarantined families
at the height of the pandemic, sacrificing his personal
safety in line of duty. His dedication to serve his people
outweighed the fear of any illness as he distributed
wheelchairs to paralyzed and crippled patients, as well
as canes for the elderly. His office has also responded to
the requests of senior citizens and PWDs for medication,
nebulizers, and walkers.
He believes that leaders should be at the frontline of any
crisis, Lanz Almeda continually strives to be a man of action,
who people can depend on at any given time, especially
when they need it the most.
